Mode of Action:

• Chlorhexidine is bactericidal. Its molecules being positively charged are adsorbed to the negatively charged cell membranes of microbes and disrupt them resulting in leakage of intracellular components and death of microbes

• Aarshol 0.5% concentration was found effective against a) E coli b) Mycobacterium tuberculosis c) Pseudomonas aeruginosa d) S.pyogenes e) S. typhi f) S. aureus g) S. epidermis and h) V.cholarae. No growth of these organisms were found in 24 hours after contact
• Skin Irritation test in rabbits showed Aarshol D had Primary Irritation index 0.25 which was far less than 2 . It therefore complies W.R.T. IS standard
