Recommendations for starting centralized air-conditioning systems after long shut down due to Covid and in normal operations

1. Get the office area sanitized

2. Clean the AHU filters. For cleaning the filters use 5% Cresol solution (containing 50% Cresol and 50% Liquid soap solution). Mix 1litre of this solution in 9 liters of water. The filter surface shall be sprayed with this solution, left for 10 minutes and then washed I wiped clean with water/cloth.

(Regular operations - clean the filter once a week with above process.)
2. Ocean the Condenser drain pan/tray. Disinfect it using 1% sodium hypochlorite dosing.

(Regular operations - clean the condenser drain pan once in two weeks with above process.)
2. Oean the AHU coils. Follow standard recommendations of coil cleaning and then sanitize the same using the same protocol as that of the filters specified above.

(Regular Operations - clean the AHU coils once in a month using same process.)
Start the AHUs keeping return air set point as 30°C keeping fresh air vents open and run the

Same for 2 hours.

(Regular operations - Run AHUs with above mentioned arrangements for max 30 mins.)
6. Start the chiller and AHUs 2 hr before the office start time. AHUs to start with 30°C set point. AHUs set point to be changed from 30°C to 24°C after 30 mins operations and Fresh Air vents needs to be shut off.

(Regular operations - The same process needs to be followed in regular operations.)
7. Office Temperature to be maintained between 24 to 30°c as per the requirements.
8. Maintain relative humidity between 40% and 70%. { In humid Climates set temperature closer to 24°C for de - humidification and in Dry Climates closer to 30°C.)
9. Toilet and Kitchen/pantry Exhaust Fans must be kept in operating mode during office hours.
